Taren was
born in 1981 and raised in Kent, England. After going to Holmes
Bale Community School in Kent, Taren went, as a sixteen year
old, to work full time with the English driver Sara Howe at the
Brad Bourne Carriage Driving Center. It is a driving center where
they have liveries, give lessons and train driving horses.
When Taren was 12 years old his father started to take
driving lessons at Brad Bourne. After spending a lot of hours in
the stable Taren started to work for Sara Howe at weekends
and holidays. When Taren finished school he decided that he
wanted to work with driving horses full time.
Taren worked
as a groom at Brad Bourne for five months. He went with Sara to
the Royal Windsor show, which is one of the biggest international
shows in England. At the show Taren received a job
offer from the English Four-in-Hand drivers Emily and Peter Bennet.
Taren suddenly moved half way across the country to Cheshire,
England. He stayed at the Bennetss for four years and worked
there as a barn manager, schooling horses, braking them into the
carriage and everything else that involves being a part of the driving
sport. Tarens next job offer was as a groom/assistant
trainer at Tucker Johnsons driving stable in the States, he tried
the new job for three months and ended up staying there for one
year.

After
being back in England for three months Taren received a phone call
from Chesters stable manager Olof, asking if he would
consider coming back to warm Florida and work for Team Weber.
Taren went back to the States in June 2003, working with
all of the horses as a very devoted and hard working member of Team
Weber. Tarens favorite horse in the barn is Palle, whom he
looks after extra thoroughly |
