Malin was born in Nacka, outside of Stockholm, in 1987. As a youngster her family moved to Lidingö, an island outside of Stockholm, were she went to school and grew up. As a nine year old Malin started riding at a riding school and after that horses have played a big part in her life. As an addition to the riding school Malin rode and trained other people’s horses, mainly ridden dressage.
Malin went to school at Lidingö and when choosing high school she chose Bollerups Naturbruksgymnasium which is a school that has agricultural and equestrian education as well as the usual Swedish High School education. She studied at Bollerup between 2003-2006. She got to train young riding horses and show them in the Swedish National Young Horse Championships. She also got to practice her driving and has driven in the Swedish Singles Team National Championships with good results.
After High School Malin went to Germany to work for Christian Plucker, one of the better German Four-in-Hand drivers. She stayed there for six months.
She came to Live Oak thru one of her old driving teachers at Bollerup that knew Olof Larsson. She was highly recommended and fitted into the team directly. Malin is staying at Live Oak until the end of 2008. After that she intends to go to Veterinary College in Sweden.
Malin is a very nice and hard working girl that has good riding skills. She gets along great with everyone in the barn – especially Jamaica. |
