Caroline was born in one of the bigger cities in southern Sweden called Helsingborg. She grew up and went to school right outside of the city. She went to High School at Bollerup Naturbruksuniversitet where she got her High School degree that included some agricultural and equestrian subjects.
Caroline started riding as an 8-year old and she got her first own pony at the age of 13. She competed her pony mainly in show jumping classes but also some dressage. When she started High School she brought her pony and started to drive it there, she really enjoyed it and therefore she also specialized in driving during her High School years.
After High School Caroline went to work for Germany’s best Four-in-Hand driver; Michael Freund, there she learned a lot about driving and horses in general. After those two years in Germany, were she learned to speak German fluently, she moved on to study two years in Sweden at a college in Katrineholm to become a certified equitherapist.
As Caroline longed back to Germany she started working at Michael Freund’s again for one year. She was responsible for the grooms in the barn as well as the treatments of the horses.
Yet, Caroline’s journey would continue and she headed to the States to join the Live Oak team. So far she has brought a lot of laughter and good ideas to the barn. Caroline has also studied equine massage with massage guru Jean-Pierre Hourdebaigt in Wellington Florida. She has passed level 1 as of now. |
